Well what've got here? What's more absurd this or reality? I'm afraid the latter. Can't say I didn't laugh but between the lines there's so much more. Way better than the debate I'd say! Good luck and may the best person win tomorrow!
I don't know if you clicked on the link that I embedded under "everyone in Congress ate mushrooms" but you should just to see the expression on Trump's face. The link is timestamped so it takes you directly to the place in the interview. Well worth the 15 seconds. Here it is:
Pitch perfect. We are all in The Thunderbirds, a cartoon, an animation. Diving down and down. The poor children who have been slaughtered thanks to a megalomaniac fueled by a system ruled by more megalomaniacs and foreign policy of colonisation under capitalism...so many more children and parents will be killed in the days to come while these two play Punch and Judy.
Thanks, Saige. Never heard of Thunderbirds so I just watched the trailer (from the 60s TV show). Wow, no surprise that was filmed smack in the middle of the Vietnam war. Diving down and down indeed
Good point re the Vietnam war. Of course now they kill journalists so they can't report invasion and extermination, and they kill the real news with censorship. The media is a propaganda tool to control the masses. It is good seeing great alternative pieces like this but we probably need an independent satellite to have independent media.
For sure, but of course, the media has always served as that propaganda tool. I assume you've read or seen Manufacturing Consent? Makes a damning case against the mass media.
No doubt, though, censorship has been on the rise. I've been amazed how it's been embraced over the last five years or so by people proclaiming to uphold liberal democracy
A little late to reading this but laughed so hard (even post election). I haven’t read all the comments so someone may have already asked this (naturally) but were there any fungi involved in the conception of this hilarious piece?
A delightfully entertaining read 😂 you're quite creative. I was surprised you could remember Harris' psychobabble and convey it so well. Great dialogue... much better than if a real interview. Those 2 lack the wit and facilities to say things that well 😂
There's a phrase in French -- L'esprit de l'escalier (the spirit of the stairwell) -- which refers to that feeling of regret that you have of coming up with a good riposte only after you've gone downstairs and it's too late. The advantage of writing is that you have time to come up with any barbs! So I guess I'm just saying that it wasn't exactly a level playing field for my fantastical versions of Harris and Trump...
As for Harris's lines, I wish I had that good memory but I confess that rewatching video clips from her interviews helped me get the psychobabble exactly right :)
I've been avoiding listening to either of these candidates. Couldn't the parties find someone better? I did enjoy reading your mushroom guided interview, however. Closest thing to truth either of them have uttered.
Wise move. I, unfortunately, binged on the sugary crack that is pre-election media frenzy. A news fast would be the best thing for me now, even though I will probably just continue binging...

Thanks, it does get harder and harder to outweird reality. Adding mushrooms was the only way to help even the playing field
Laughing aloud at that one. Oh the grief at the rot. Western system in decay. Capitalism on death row but taking so many down with it.
Dark!!!
God only knows what they’re into for real… I doubt it’s shrooms though! Hahahahha

This is possibly the most accurate pre-election interview that I’ve seen.
Ha, thanks Jacqueline. Maybe the mushrooms worked as a truth serum :)
Perfect.
Thanks for the cross-post, Mike. You came up with the better title ("If Kamala and Donald ate mushrooms...")
Funny stuff. I wish it wasn’t so accurate.

I hope so

Vote for the Joker !
Gotham deserves a better class of criminals !
Michael Tracey voted for Fred Flintstone, so I'm sure you'll find some Jokers among tomorrow's ballots...
If Donald and Kamala had a baby together, it would look like Michelle Obama.
I confess this metaphor went over my head...
Stop it!😂
